The Shinko SD centrifugal barrel type pumps have been designed as cargo stripping use for shuttle tankers etc., on the basis of many years experience.
The special considerations is given to the following points;

1.Since an inducer having excellent suction performance is provided at the inlet of the 1st stage impeller, NPSH required can be quite low.
2.Due to multi-stage type, high pump efficiency can be obtained.
3.In consideration of dry running due to gas suction at final stripping stage, the shaft seals are adopted with tandem mechanicals.
