Shinko ST deepwell type pumps have been designed as cargo pump for product carrier and
chemical tanker, and have the following advantages.

The prime mover is installed on the top of cargo tank and impeller is submerged in the liquid and
driven through the long shaft. Accordingly, the priming equipment is not necessary.

Since the pump is of multi-stage type, it is widely applicable for any head by means of changing
number of stage.

Since the discharge pipe holds the support of casing and long shaft, the piping in tank is not
necessary, consequently the cost of arrangement can be reduced.
|
|
The stuffing box seal is provided with most reliable mechanical seal, and moreover it can be
replaced safely and easily without removing pump from tank, even if the mechanical seal is damaged.

|
For the prime mover, the pressure resisting and explosion-proof type motor is adopted.
